Edd co-owns The Yorkshire Grey with partner Isabel Margetts and has been developing the practice since 2020.

Edd is a general dentist with particular interests in endodontics (root canal treatment), managing fractured teeth, and fixed and removable prosthodontics, including crowns, bridges and dentures. He enjoys working through dental problems, from deeper decay and large fillings to caring for teeth that have already needed substantial treatment.

He runs the denture clinic alongside clinical dental technician Trevor Harkness. Clear aligners and tooth whitening are available where they complement your wider care.

His background in cell biology informs his interest in why problems develop and how biomaterials can help preserve natural tooth tissue that might otherwise be lost. He combines research evidence with clinical experience, using newer techniques and technology where they offer a practical benefit.

Time to listen, investigate and explain

Understand your options

Your concerns are taken seriously. Edd investigates carefully and explains the findings, including when the cause of a problem is not immediately clear.

You’ll understand what needs attention, what can be monitored and what each option can realistically achieve, with alternatives, costs and time to ask questions before deciding.

Care with attention to detail

When treatment is needed, Edd pays particular attention to comfort and making sure teeth are properly numb. His aim is work that functions well and can be maintained over time.

Where another clinician’s expertise would help, he involves the appropriate colleague as part of a coordinated treatment plan.
